Foreign Exchange Guidelines FXD5 Version 2.0 (March 2026)

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issues these consolidated Foreign Exchange Transactions Guidelines to streamline and regulate all foreign currency transactions for trade, investment, and capital flows. The document mandates Authorised Dealers and transacting entities to adhere to a reconfigured Capital Flows Management Framework, ensuring accurate Balance of Payments reporting, strict anti-money laundering compliance, and the proper management of foreign currency accounts across current and capital transactions. By superseding prior directives and detailing operational procedures for imports, exports, equity investments, and external loans, the guidelines provide a unified regulatory framework that enhances market transparency while curbing illicit financial flows.
