Compliance Guidelines for Digital Accessibility under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued compliance guidelines requiring all Regulated Entities to ensure their digital platforms adhere to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Entities must submit lists of digital platforms by September 30, 2025, appoint IAAP certified accessibility auditors by December 14, 2025, and complete initial accessibility audits by April 30, 2026. Subsequent remediation must be finalized by July 31, 2026, with mandatory annual audits and reporting commencing in April 2027.
