Pursuant to Article 25 paragraphs 1 and 3 and 47 paragraph 1 item 20 of the Law on the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 158/10, 123/12, 43/14, 153/15, 6/16 and 83/18), the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia Council adopted the following DECISION ON PUTTING INTO CIRCULATION OF BANKNOTES IN DENOMINATION OF 500 DENARS WITH MODIFIED FEATURES (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 71/21)

  1. This Decision shall put into circulation banknotes in denomination of 500 denars
    bearing the printing sign "April 2020" and with features set in the Decision on issuing denomination structure and main features of banknotes (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 45/96), the Decision on issuing and printing banknotes in denominations of 500 and 1000 denars with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 46/03) and the Decision on issuing coins in denomination of 500 denar with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 50/19 and 88/20), starting from 1 April 2021.
  2. By putting into circulation the banknotes of item 1 of this Decision in the cash payment
    operations of the Republic of Macedonia, the banknotes in denomination of 500 denars issued pursuant to the Decision on the issue, denomination and main features of banknotes (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 45/96) and the Decision on issuing and printing banknotes in denominations of 500 and 1000 denars with modified features (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 46/03) remain in circulation.
  3. This Decision shall enter into force on the eighth day from the day of its publication in
    the Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia.
