The European Banking Authority and European Securities and Markets Authority issued joint guidelines establishing common procedures and methodologies for the supervisory review and evaluation process (SREP) under Directive (EU) 2019/2034. The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission adopted these guidelines under national prudential supervision laws to regulate the SREP of investment firms. These guidelines became applicable on June 19, 2023, and govern SREP exercises initiated in that year.
