Capital Markets Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Policy Guidelines
The Tanzania Capital Markets and Securities Authority mandates all licensed capital market professionals to complete 35 hours of annual Continuing Professional Development, effective July 1, 2024. This requirement allocates at least 21 hours to structured activities and 3.5 hours specifically to ethics, with the remainder permitted as unstructured learning verified through accredited providers and auditable records. Professionals who fail to meet these annual thresholds face suspension from prescribed business activities until their CPD obligations are fulfilled and documented.
