Bank of Zambia Circular 11/1996: Operating Bureaux de Change
The Bank of Zambia issued Circular 11/1996 to publish a revised roster of authorized operating bureaux de change and formally revoke the license of Goldmark Bureau De Change. The directive mandates that all foreign exchange transactions governed by Statutory Instrument No. 44 of 1994 must be exclusively conducted through the companies appearing on the attached licensed list. Commercial banks and bureaux are required to restrict all currency exchanges to these verified entities to maintain statutory compliance.
