Law on Safety and Health at Work
The Parliament of Montenegro enacted this law to ensure safety and health at work by mandating modern technological, organizational, and medical measures to prevent occupational injuries and diseases. It imposes strict obligations on employers to conduct risk assessments, provide training, and ensure safe working conditions, while requiring investors in construction projects to appoint specialized coordinators for safety and health. The legislation further establishes detailed protocols for the design and execution of construction works, including mandatory reporting to the Labour Inspectorate and the implementation of comprehensive safety plans.
