Decision No 5/2017 on the setting of O-SII buffer rates
Národná banka Slovenska issued Decision No 5/2017 to establish specific Out-of-Scope Systemically Important Institution buffer rates for five domestic banks effective January 1, 2018. The regulation mandates a 1% buffer for Československá obchodná banka, Poštová banka, Slovenská sporiteľňa, and Všeobecná úverová banka, while Tatra banka is assigned a 0.5% rate. These buffers must be maintained on both an individual and sub-consolidated basis, and this decision repeals the previous Decision No 18/2016.
