Code of Market Conduct

The Guernsey Financial Services Commission issued the Code of Market Conduct to provide guidance on determining whether specific behaviors constitute market abuse under the Enforcement Powers Law. The document defines market abuse as behavior likely to give a regular user a false or misleading impression regarding supply, demand, or price, or to distort the market. It explicitly categorizes abusive practices such as manipulating transactions, employing deceptive devices, disseminating false information, and distorting market forces as prohibited conduct.
