Collective Investment Schemes (Promotion of Schemes Other than Authorised and Recognised Schemes) (Exemption) Regulations 2010

The Financial Supervision Commission issued these Regulations to exempt the promotion of non-authorised and non-recognised collective investment schemes from the general prohibition under the Collective Investment Schemes Act 2008. The exemption permits appropriate licenceholders to promote such schemes to specific eligible recipients, including existing participants, licensed entities, non-retail investors, and suitable clients, provided specific advertising statements regarding statutory compensation are included. These Regulations came into operation on 1 May 2010 and revoked the Financial Supervision (Promotion of Unregulated Schemes) (Exemption) Regulations 1992.
