The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) mandates all private financial institutions under its supervision to accept the digital Family Register for Citizens, accessible via the Absher platform and Tawakkalna application, as a valid substitute for physical copies in relevant operations. This directive requires institutions to apply existing regulations governing printed documents to these digital submissions, leveraging a newly launched electronic version developed by the Ministry of Interior in partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority. The requirement takes immediate effect from the circular's issuance date, streamlining citizen services while maintaining compliance with established legal frameworks.
