Accounting Manual for Pension Fund Administrators
The Standards Committee of the Central Bank of Reserve of El Salvador issued this manual to standardize accounting registration and financial statement preparation for authorized Pension Fund Administrators. The document mandates the use of a specific codification structure and chart of accounts, requiring quarterly financial statements to be published within 30 days of June 30 and 60 days of December 31. It further obligates administrators to submit approved financial statements to the Financial System Superintendence and have them audited by independent external auditors registered with the Superintendence. The manual becomes valid on March 1, 2023.
