ACD Circular No. 03: Agriculture loan facility for the flood affected farmers
The Agriculture Credit Department of Bangladesh Bank mandates scheduled banks to distribute new agricultural loans and reschedule existing debts for farmers in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Kishoreganj, and Netrokona districts affected by recent floods. Banks are required to suspend loan recovery for six months from the circular's date, relax down payment requirements for rescheduling, and halt litigation on attached loans while pursuing resolution through Solonamar. Additionally, banks must allocate at least 20% of the unutilized balance from a previous special refinancing scheme to these specific districts and report implementation progress by September 30, 2022.
