Circular to Approved Intermediaries No. 2020-03 of February 4, 2020
The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia issued Circular No. 2020-03 to repeal and replace key provisions governing business travel allowances for resident natural and legal persons. The circular establishes three distinct allowance categories—Exporters, Markets Realizable Abroad, and Other Activities—with specific calculation bases, ceilings, and documentation requirements for accessing foreign currency transfers. It mandates approved intermediaries to open dedicated files, verify supporting invoices and tax declarations, submit monthly statements via the Data Exchange System, and strictly enforce suspension procedures when advance limits or reporting deadlines are breached.
