Agreement Reforming the Government Accounting Manual
The National Council for Accounting Harmonization (CONAC) amends the Government Accounting Manual by updating definitions and account structures for assets, liabilities, public treasury/equity, income, and expenses, while adding a new account for changes in accounting estimates. These modifications become mandatory for public entities starting January 1, 2025. Federated entities must publish the agreement within 30 business days and report adoption actions to the Technical Secretariat within 15 business days after the publication deadline.
