Greetings,
In the context of the Central Bank of Egypt's keenness to support and revitalize the national economy during this important stage, and in order to encourage Egyptian natural persons to transfer their savings in foreign currency from abroad to Egypt for investment, whether in foreign currency or in Egyptian pounds, in any form of investment, the following has been decided:
Egyptian natural persons who transfer their savings from their accounts abroad to any of the banks operating in Egypt are permitted, effective from 10 February 2013, to re-transfer the same value abroad in the name of the same person who made the transfer, upon liquidation of their investments in Egypt
(whether fully or partially), provided that documents evidencing this are submitted.
Each bank shall record the transfers received from its clients effective from the date mentioned above.
Please accept our highest respect and appreciation,
Hesham Ramzy Abdel Hafez
