This circular updates Annex 6.1.2 of the Single Insurance and Surety Circular to establish the specific values in Investment Units (UDI) that insurance and surety institutions must use to calculate their minimum paid-in capital. The document sets fixed UDI amounts for various insurance lines, including life, pension, accident and health, and property damage, as well as for surety branches. Institutions are required to multiply these UDI figures by the UDI value published by the Bank of Mexico on December 31, 2016, to determine the national currency equivalent. The circular entered into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette on May 6, 2017.
