Amendment of Basic Decision No. 13335 dated 8/6/2021
The Governor of Banque du Liban,
Based on the Code of Money and Credit, particularly Articles 70 and 174 thereof,
And based on the provisions of Basic Decision No. 13335 dated 8/6/2021 and its amendments, concerning exceptional measures for the gradual repayment of foreign currency deposits,
And based on the decision of the Central Council of Banque du Liban taken at its session held on 10/9/2026,
Decides the following:
Article One: The text of paragraph "Fourthly" of Article Two of Basic Decision No. 13335 dated 8/6/2021 is hereby repealed and replaced with the following text:
"Fourthly: As an exception to the provisions of paragraph "Firstly" of this Article, the following shall benefit from the provisions of this Decision:
- Individual establishments
- Associations licensed by the competent authorities
- Religious associations and endowments subject to applicable legal frameworks."
Article Two: This Decision shall be effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
