The Otoritas Jasa Keuangan amends regulations regarding the marketing of insurance products through Non-Bank Financial Institutions (BUSB). The changes define BUSB's role as a reference agent limited to providing marketing materials, while allowing BUSB to assist with administration, underwriting, and premium collection if the insurance mitigates BUSB's business risks, is part of BUSB's services, or relates to BUSB product sales. The amendment also mandates specific technical requirements for electronic communication links, including API usage, and establishes that insurance coverage becomes binding upon premium receipt by the BUSB, with the insurance company bearing full liability for the BUSB's actions in such cases.
