Amendment to the Licensing and Registration Regulation Series 2000

Announcement No 41
On the amendment of the Licensing and Registration Regulation in the Capital Markets - Series 2000 Pursuant to the Law No 161 dated 17/8/2011 on Capital Markets, Pursuant to the decision of the Capital Markets Authority’s Board No 22/4/2018 taken in its meeting held on 19/3/2018, Pursuant to the decision of the Capital Markets Authority’s Board No 9/5/2018 taken in its meeting held on 16/4/2018, Pursuant to the decision of the Capital Markets Authority’s Board No 18/7/2018 taken in its meeting held on 11/6/2018, We inform you of the following:
First: Paragraph (3) of Article 2501 of the Licensing and Registration Regulation Series 2000 related to the Enforcement by the Capital Markets Authority of the provisions of said regulation, was amended to read as follows:
“Banks and Financial Institutions, who intend to continue to carry out securities business, are given a deadline ending on 31/12/2018 to complete the relevant file at the Capital Markets Authority, without the need for getting a new license. In order to complete the abovementioned files, all Banks and Financial Institutions, must provide the Authority with the following:

• A duly signed document identifying the categories of activities related to securities business
  the Bank / Financial Institution intend to carry on.
• A report from the external auditors, accredited or not accredited, of the Bank / Financial
  Institution which clearly states that each of the latter is fully compliant with all the requirements of this regulation.
