The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan amends the Employees Contributory Funds (Investment in Listed Securities) Regulations, 2018, to exclude money market collective investment schemes from the definition of investment schemes in Regulation 3(1)(ii). The amendments introduce a fifty percent cap on total investments in debt collective investment schemes managed by a single asset management company and increase the relevant threshold in Regulation 3(9) from ten to thirty. Additionally, a new sub-regulation permits investments in money market collective investment schemes up to one hundred percent of the fund size, subject to sub-limits of twenty percent per scheme and fifty percent per asset management company.
