AML Circular No. 26: Inclusion of new reporting agencies and predicate offenses in Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2009

Bangladesh Bank includes Stock Dealers, Stock Brokers, Portfolio Managers, Merchant Banks, Security Custodians, Asset Managers, Non-Profit Organizations, and Non-Government Organizations as reporting organizations under the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2009. The circular also adds Terrorism and Terrorist Financing, Counterfeiting and Piracy of Products, Environmental Crime, Sexual Exploitation, Insider Trading and Market Manipulation, and Organized Crime as predicate offenses. Specific definitions for these entities and offenses are provided by referencing various Securities and Exchange Commission Regulations and other Acts.
