FROM : Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission DATE : 8 September 2026 CIRCULAR NO. : C800 SUBJECT : AMLA’s public hearing on the draft RTSs under article 40(2) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640 The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (the ‘CySEC’) informs the Regulated Entities that the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (the ‘AMLA’) will hold a public hearing on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (the ‘RTS’) under Article 40(2) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640. These RTS set the methodology for the assessment of the inherent and residual risk profile of obliged entities in the non-financial sector. According to AMLA, the public hearing will be held on Thursday, 10 September 2026, 10:00 - 12:00 CET. Registration will end on Thursday 10 September 2026, 10:00 CET. CySEC recommends that Regulated Entities attend the Public Hearing as this is an opportunity for them to engage directly with AMLA on the proposed methodology.
