Rule · DNB · 1 Apr 2017
De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) requires individuals appointed to management or supervisory board positions, as well as policymakers in authorization applications, to undergo an initial fit and proper assessment. Applicants must submit completed forms with all required documentation via the My DNB portal using e-herkenning credentials. The assessment covers fitness, propriety, and reputation for incumbent members changing their remit and for new appointees.
Factsheet
Read aloud
An initial fit and proper assessment takes place upon a proposed appointment or if incumbent management or supervisory board members change their position or remit within the same institution. In the case of applications for authorisation or declarations of no-objection (DNOs), policymakers and co-policymakers are also assessed on fitness and/or propriety or reputation.

You may submit your application form through
Supervisory applications on My DNB. You need e-herkenning (e-Recognition) to use this. Be sure to complete the form truthfully and in full, and add all required documentation as an annex to the form. Please note that eHerkenning to submit applications for assessment is issued to you personally and is not transferable. You can authorise other users for specific access to your applications. You can download requests, messages and documents sent by DNB from the Mijn DNB portal for your institution’s records.
