Rule · BCRA · 20 Sep 2017 · A 6327
The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina amends numerous regulatory norms to align with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including replacing terms such as 'volatility published by this Central Bank' with 'normal and usual quotation for significant amounts in domestic markets' and substituting 'accounting statements' with 'financial statements'. The resolution mandates the elimination of fully provisioned debts for 'unrecoverable' debtors from assets after seven months, restricts the use of IFRS transition gains for dividend distributions by requiring a special reserve, and updates capital adequacy, liquidity coverage, and risk management calculations. These adjustments apply to financial entities, exchange houses, cooperative credit unions, and public guarantee funds, with the provisions taking effect on January 1, 2018.
