Application process timeline
The statutory consideration period for bank authorization applications is 26 weeks, starting upon receipt of the formal application. The DNB and/or ECB may suspend this period if information is missing or additional questions arise, with the clock restarting only after all relevant information is provided. If an applicant fails to supplement the application sufficiently within four weeks of a request, the authorities may cease consideration of the application.
