Appointment of TTII as Approved Educational Institution Under Insurance Act 2018
The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago announces that the Minister of Finance has appointed the Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Institute (TTII) as an approved educational institution pursuant to Sections 119(2) and (3) of the Insurance Act, 2018. This appointment, effective January 1, 2021, authorizes TTII to supervise examinations, administer Continuous Professional Development activities, and provide written verification of such activities for a period of three years. The directive applies to all stakeholders and insurance intermediaries subject to these regulatory requirements.
