Approval of Benefit and Contribution Changes
Medical Aid Funds must submit proposed benefit and contribution changes for the 2012 implementation year by October 31, 2011, to allow the Registrar to review and approve them before they take effect on January 1, 2012. Implementation of any rule, benefit, or contribution changes without prior approval from the Registrar constitutes a contravention of Section 31 of the Medical Aid Funds Act (Act No. 23 of 1995). Funds are required to apply for approval before implementing such changes.
