Bahamas Securities Commission Notice on UN Security Council Resolution 2675 (2023) Regarding Yemen Sanctions
The Securities Commission of The Bahamas informs licensees and registrants that the UN Security Council renewed the travel ban and asset freeze on specific individuals and entities in Yemen through Resolution 2675 (2023). This notice reminds regulated entities of their obligation to take all appropriate actions to ensure full compliance with section 3A of the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Part IV of the Anti-Terrorism Act, and section 8 of the Anti-Terrorism Regulations in relation to Yemen.
