The Securities Commission of The Bahamas informs licensees and registrants that UN Security Council Resolution 2688 (2023) renewed the sanctions regime on the Democratic Republic of Congo, including arms embargoes, travel bans, and asset freezes, until 1 July 2024. Regulated entities are required to take all appropriate actions to ensure full compliance with section 3A of the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Part IV of the Anti-Terrorism Act, and section 8 of the Anti-Terrorism Regulations regarding these measures.
