The Securities Commission of The Bahamas informs licensees and registrants that the UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2752 (2024) on 18 October 2024, renewing the sanctions regime on Haiti for one year. This renewal continues existing travel bans and asset freezes while expanding the scope of the arms embargo and designation criteria initially established in Resolution 2653 (2022). Registrants and licensees are required to take all appropriate actions to ensure full compliance with the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act and the Anti-Terrorism Act regarding these measures. They are further urged to regularly consult the specified UNSC websites to maintain accurate record keeping and continued compliance.
