Banking Rule BR/07 requires credit institutions, financial holding companies, and mixed financial holding companies to submit audited financial statements and a Declaration Form to the Authority and the Central Bank of Malta within four months of the financial year-end, with a separate submission of the auditors’ management letter due within six months. The published annual report must include the Directors’ Report, auditors’ report, a complete set of financial statements, and five-year summary figures, while also mandating country-by-country reporting and the public disclosure of return on assets. The Rule updates references to EU legislation, specifies requirements for third-country and EEA branches, and mandates that all publications be in an official language of Malta or accompanied by a certified translation if originally published in another language.
