2022-02-23 | Resolução BCB 188Added
This resolution establishes the rules for the compulsory collection on savings deposit funds, setting a 20% rate on the average daily balance of specific accounting rubrics. It defines the calculation period as a single week and mandates daily reporting of values to the Central Bank. Financial institutions failing to maintain the required balance in the collection account incur financial costs calculated using the Selic rate plus a 4% annual surcharge, and must provide justifications for repeated deficiencies. The regulation also outlines remuneration for the collected balances based on the Reference Rate (TR) and specific interest add-ons, while revoking several prior circulars.
