Suspends, for ninety days, the deadlines for forwarding banknotes and metal coins retained in the state of Rio Grande do Sul for examination of legitimacy and for examination of damage caused by anti-theft devices, as provided for in BCB Resolution No. 223, of March 30, 2022, and Circular No. 3,538, of June 1, 2011.
The Collegiate Board of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on May 27, 2024, based on art. 10, item II, of Law No. 4.595, of December 31, 1964, in view of the state of public calamity in Rio Grande do Sul, declared by means of State Decree No. 57.596, of May 1, 2024, of Rio Grande do Sul, and recognized by Ordinance No. 1,354, of May 2, 2024, of the National Secretariat for Protection and Civil Defense of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development,
RESOLVES:
Art. 1 This Resolution provides for the temporary suspension of the deadlines for forwarding banknotes and metal coins retained in the state of Rio Grande do Sul for examination of legitimacy and for examination of damage caused by anti-theft devices.
Art. 2 The deadlines for forwarding banknotes and metal coins retained in the state of Rio Grande do Sul for examination of legitimacy, provided for in art. 4 of BCB Resolution No. 223, of March 30, 2022, and for examination of damage caused by anti-theft devices, provided for in art. 4 of Circular No. 3,538, of June 1, 2011, are suspended for ninety days, counted from the date of publication of this Resolution.
Art. 3 This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication and shall produce effects for a period of ninety days.
