RESOLVES:
Art. 1. This Resolution establishes:
I - the use of the Accounting Standard for Institutions Regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil (Cosif) by consortium administrators and payment institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil; and

§ 2. The criteria and procedures embodied in Cosif, as well as the existence of accounting items, do not presuppose permission to practice operations or services prohibited by law, regulation or administrative act, or dependent on prior authorization by the Central Bank of Brazil. Art. 4. The code of the accounting items of the Cosif account list is formed by, at minimum, five levels of aggregation, followed by the control digit, being:
I - the 1st level, called accounting group, of one digit;
II - the 2nd level, called accounting sub-group, of one digit;
III - the 3rd level, called accounting sub-group breakdown, of one digit;
IV - the 4th level, called accounting title, of two digits; and
IV - the 5th level, called first-degree accounting subtitle, of two digits.
§ 1. The Financial System Regulation Department (Denor) may define new levels, of two digits, for accounting items for which the aggregation defined in the caput is not sufficient to maintain the necessary accounting controls and the adequate recording of events, transactions and administrative acts and facts.
§ 2. The control digit of the account is calculated as follows:
I - multiplication of each digit of the code, from right to left, respectively, by 3, 7, 1, 3, 7, 1, 3, 7, 1;
II - sum of the results of the multiplications provided for in item I;
III - division of the total obtained in the operation referred to in item II by ten; and
IV - subtraction of the remainder of the division referred to in item III from ten.
§ 3. If the remainder referred to in item IV of § 2 is zero, the control digit is also zero.
Art. 5. An identifier attribute of the institution type will be assigned to the titles and, if existing, to the accounting subtitles, as defined in Annex I.
