2026-03-13 | RESOLUCIÓN DE DIRECTORIO N° 025/2026Added · Updated
The Central Bank of Bolivia amends Articles 9 and 10 of its Regulation on Monetization, Distribution, and Destruction of Monetary Material to update ATM distribution requirements and monetary quality standards. Financial Intermediation Entities (EIFs) must now distribute specific Boliviano denominations based on ATM tray configurations, with availability governing the distribution of ten, twenty, and fifty Boliviano notes, and must report distribution details to the ASFI quarterly. Additionally, EIFs are required to deliver only banknotes available for national circulation to consumers, prioritizing the recirculation of notes from the previous family. These modifications enter into force on March 13, 2026.
