2021-05-07 | RESOLUCIONES DE DIRECTORIO Nº 070/2021Added · Updated
The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia amends Articles 2, 4, and 6 of the Foreign Exchange Position Regulation for Financial Intermediation Entities, effective May 13, 2021. The changes replace 'accounting equity' with 'net equity' as the baseline for calculating foreign exchange position limits, defining net equity as accounting equity minus fixed asset investments, and introduce a prohibition on long positions for entities with negative net equity. Entities whose accounting equity is less than their fixed asset investments as of May 7, 2021, are granted a three-month adaptation period before facing suspension measures for non-compliance.
