2017-10-24 | RESOLUCIONES DE DIRECTORIO N° 149/2017Added · Updated
The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia amends the Regulation on Monetization, Distribution, and Destruction of Monetary Material to update the definition of unfit banknotes and the quality standards for currency distribution. The resolution replaces the previous classification-based definition of unfit notes with criteria based on dirt, stains, graffiti, discoloration, tears, mutilations, holes, and repairs as established in the Manual for the Selection of Boliviano Banknotes. Financial Intermediation Entities are required to deliver only fit banknotes to financial consumers in accordance with this Manual for any type of operation. These changes enter into force on February 5, 2018.
