The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia amends the Regulation on the Administration of Monetary Material to update definitions of unfit banknotes and bundles, and to modify deposit and counting procedures for financial intermediation entities. The resolution introduces stricter requirements for banknote orientation in bundles, establishes a Manual for the Selection of Boliviano Banknotes to determine degradation, and sets specific rejection thresholds of 10% for unfit notes in national currency deposits and 1% for unfit or misoriented notes in eligible note counts. These changes replace previous additional provisions and take effect on February 5, 2018.
