BRPD-1 Circular Letter No. 05: Name change of Standard Bank PLC. to Standard Islami Bank PLC.

Bangladesh Bank officially changes the name of Standard Bank PLC. to Standard Islami Bank PLC. in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Tuesday, 27 Magh 1432 (February 10, 2026). This action is taken pursuant to Notification No. BRPD-1(LS-1)/745(43)/2026-1041 issued on February 10, 2026. A copy of the notification is attached for the information and necessary action of all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.

In this regard, you are hereby informed that the name of 'Standard Bank PLC.' has been changed to 'Standard Islami Bank PLC.' (in English 'Standard Islami Bank PLC.') in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Tuesday, 27 Magh 1432 corresponding to 10 February 2026.

A copy of Notification No. BRPD-1(LS-1)/745(43)/2026-1041 issued by Bangladesh Bank on 10 February 2026 regarding this matter is attached herewith for your information and necessary action.
