  1. We draw your attention to Circular Letter No. 06 dated 04 May 2005 of BRPD-1 on the subject cited above.

  2. Through the aforementioned Circular Letter, instructions were issued to follow specific guidelines when appointing an officer/employee of one bank to another bank, in order to prevent disorderly practices in the utilization of human resources in the banking sector.

  3. In order to harmonize the applicable time limit for resolving complaints regarding disorderly practices involving officers/employees of various banks with the Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015, Paragraph 2(b) of Circular Letter No. 06 dated 04 May 2005 is hereby replaced as follows:

"(b) If a disciplinary case against any officer/employee is under consideration, the case shall be resolvable within 02 (two) months in accordance with service rules."

  1. In addition, other instructions in the aforementioned Circular Letter shall remain unchanged.

  2. These instructions are issued under the authority granted in Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991.

  3. These instructions shall take effect immediately.
