BRPD Circular Letter No. 15: Time extension for repayment of loans/investments from stimulus Fund for active export oriented industries workers as salary due to breakout of Corona Virus (COVID-19)
The Bangladesh Bank extends the grace period for loan repayments by six months from March 2021 for workers of active export-oriented industries who received funds from the government's stimulus package to pay salaries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following this extension, the remaining loan amount must be repaid in 18 equal monthly installments. This directive amends the repayment schedule originally set for the first installment by January 2021 under previous circulars, while all other existing instructions remain unchanged.
