BRPD Circular Letter No. 19: Paid-Up Capital of Branchless Digital Bank-Companies
The Bangladesh Bank has redefined the minimum paid-up capital required for establishing branchless digital bank-companies under Section 13 of the Bank Company Act, 1991. This update is implemented via Notification No. BRPD(R-1)(Review)717/2025-10069, issued on August 21, 2025, and supersedes previous guidelines set in Circular Letter No. 18 and Notification No. BRPD(R-1)(Review)717/2023-4628 dated June 15, 2023. The notification is circulated to all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh for necessary action and awareness.
