BRPD Circular Letter No. 27: Extension of Banking Hours and Keeping Branches Open Near Qurbani Cattle Haats in Dhaka South, Dhaka North, Chattogram City Corporations and Singra Paurashava, Natore
The document directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to extend normal banking hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at selected branches near designated Qurbani cattle haats in Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka North City Corporation, Chattogram City Corporation, and Singra Paurashava, Natore, for the period from June 14, 2024, until the day before Eid-ul-Azha. Banks are advised to establish temporary booths at these haats to facilitate cash transactions and provide special allowances to staff assigned to these extended duties. This directive is issued under the powers granted by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
