BRPD Circular Letter No. 32: The responsibilities of Banks to implement financial stimulus packages declared by government to mitigate negative impact of COVID-19 on Economy

The Bangladesh Bank directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to implement government-declared financial stimulus packages aimed at mitigating the negative economic impact of COVID-19. Banks are required to establish dedicated help desks at every branch, ensure rapid verification and disbursement of loan applications, and place monitoring programs under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. These directives are issued under Section 45 of the Companies Act, 1991, and take immediate effect.
