In accordance with the provision of Section 11C(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, the Bangladesh Bank has changed the name of 'Mercantile Bank Limited' to 'Mercantile Bank PLC' (in English: Mercantile Bank PLC) in the list of scheduled banks, effective from 12 Bhadra 1430 corresponding to 27 August 2023, which was a Tuesday.
