BRPD Circular Letter No. 35: Regarding amendment of People's Republic of Bangladesh Flag Rules, 1972
The document directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to strictly follow the instructions contained in S.R.O. No. 247-Law/2023, issued by the Ministry of Cabinet Division of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on August 9, 2023. These instructions amend the People's Republic of Bangladesh Flag Rules, 1972, specifically altering the dimensions of the national flag: Rule 1 is amended to set the ratio of the flag's length to its width at 6:3, and Rule 2 is amended to set the ratio at 7:4. These directives are issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, and take immediate effect.
