BRPD Circular Letter No. 48: Name change of Jamuna Bank Ltd to Jamuna Bank PLC
Bangladesh Bank officially changed the name of Jamuna Bank Ltd to Jamuna Bank PLC in the list of scheduled banks, effective October 10, 2023 (25 Ashwin 1430), pursuant to Section 11C(a) of the Companies Act, 1994. This change was enacted via Notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(55)/2023-8505 under the authority granted by Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972. The circular directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to take necessary action regarding this name change.
