The Bangladesh Bank directs all scheduled banks to instruct their office and personal vehicle drivers to refrain from honking between 10:00 am and 10:01 am on 15 October 2023. This instruction supports the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change's '1 Minute Silence' campaign to mitigate noise pollution and its associated health risks. The directive is issued under the authority granted by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
