BRPD Circular Letter No. 66: Name change of Union Bank Ltd to Union Bank PLC
The Bangladesh Bank officially changed the name of 'Union Bank Limited' to 'Union Bank PLC' in the list of scheduled banks, effective Wednesday, 29 November 2023. This change was made in accordance with Rule 11C(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, and is formalized through Notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(63)/2023-10263 issued under Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972. The notification is attached to the circular for the information and necessary action of the Managing Directors or Chief Executive Officers of all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.
